Frances

img_20161024_113817860_hdrFrances was abandoned in Miami shortly before Hurricane Matthew. She is an extremely social and lovable young cat who would be perfect for a family at any age. She is about a year old so she is quite playful. She has excellent manners and is hoping for a home very soon.

Great news…My adoption fee has been paid by  my Guardian Angel.

Smudge

Smudge is a sweet and gentle one year old boy who loves everyone he meets. He likes kids and adults alike and has been around big dogs all his life. He likes to be carried around and he will sit with you and be your constant companion. He is very laid-back and will be very good with other cats too. He would be a perfect addition to any household.

Mr. Tux

mr-tux

Mr. Tux is a sweet senior boy  who has recently been diagnosed with diabetes.  He was originally adopted from Dogs & Cats 11 years  ago but was returned because his owner could not care for him.  Despite the fact that very few diabetics ever get adopted from shelters, Mr.Tux is hopeful that a special someone will see him and take him home. Mr. Tux is available for permanent foster which means that his insulin will be supplied by the shelter and vet visits-which are diabetes related-will be paid for by the shelter.

The shelter is no place for a diabetic house cat.  Mr. Tux needs TLC so that he can enjoy his golden years.

Harley

harleycat

Harley is a senior boy who was originally adopted from Dogs & Cats Forever ten years ago, but  was surrendered to the county shelter because  his owner was moving.  Since Dogs & cats  always takes its pets back,  Harley was transferred back to us to find a new home. He is declawed and super sweet with people and other cats.  Harley needs a home where he can spend his golden years.

Great news! Harley has been sponsored by a Guardian Angel who has paid his entire adoption fee

Twix

Great news! My adoption fee has been paid for by my Guardian Angel!

It would take far too long to tell my story here.  You will just have to come in and meet me in person.  I’m a middle-aged boy who needs a chance to find a home of my own.  I must have an adult home with no other pets.

Hear my story and give me a chance

Trixie

Great news!  My adoption fee has been paid by a Guardian Angel.

Trixie left Dogs & Cats Forever six years ago as a kitten, but lost her home recently because of her owner’s allergies.  She is a very sweet and loving girl who misses being in a home of her own.  She is used to being in a home with kids and would be happiest as an an only cat in a home with a family of any age.

Nutter Butter

Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by a Guardian Angel

Nutter Butter is a three year old girl who arrived at Dogs & cats after delivering a litter of babies outside the shelter Thrift Store.  She was in foster care for several months  after her babies were adopted before coming to the shelter.  She has done very well making the transition from stray to shelter cat and is now ready for the next step-to become a house cat.  She would be  best in a canine-free adult home either by herself or with another cat.

Toby and Xander

Toby and Xander are a pair of six-year-old Maine Coon mix bothers who  would love a home together.  They are very sweet and affectionate and would do best in a calm adult home with people who are experienced with the grooming needs of Maine Coon cats.  They are in foster care currently and can be seen by appointment only.  Please call 772 216 4109 to make an appointment to see these two special boys.xander birchtoby togo

Great News!!  Bradley’s adoption fee has been paid by his Guardian Angel

Bradley is a middle aged boy who recently got some much-needed dental work.  He is one of the most affectionate cats at the shelter, instantly purring and loving anyone who pays attention to him.  He is great with other cats also.  Meet Bradley and you’l want to take him home

Simba and Socrates

simba ans socrates

This beautiful pair of housemates are waiting for you to take them home.  They are both very friendly and loving.  Simba is a three-year-old boy and his pal Socrates is a five-year- old girl.  They  both love people and are used to being house cats. Their owner surrendered them to a kill shelter in another state, but because SImba had a microchip identifying him as a Dogs & Cats Forever cat, we were able to save them and return them to  our care.

Tootsie

tootsie

Tootsie is a one-year-old dilute calico girl who was abandoned  by her owner.  She is sweet and loving  with people and is tolerant of other cats.  She would be happiest in a family of adults or with older kids, as she was formerly in a home with small children who frightened her.

Great news!! Tootsie’s adoption fee has been paid by a Guardian Angel
