Libby and her brother Amos have been though a lot together, but you would never know it from their sweet and loving personalities. Amos is a lovebug who’ll sit in your lap, while Libby will sit next to you on your bed or chair. They were housed in a warehouse for almost a year when their former shelter closed down, but despite everything they always had each other. They are available for either adoption or permanent foster, but no matter what happens, they will always love each other. They are ready to love you, too.
Scrappy and Star are looking for a permanent foster home together. They were adopted as kittens from Dogs & Cats seven years ago and returned because the owners were moving. They were so upset that they hid under their beds for a month. They are camera shy so this photo is as good as it gets–so come see them in person. Scrappy is a sweet solid black boy and Star is a petite black and white girl. They have been in isolation for a month because they are unable to acclimate to a cat room. They want to go to a real home again.
Gizmo and her sister Lovebug are three year old sweethearts who love to be held and petted. They are both lap cats, so an extra big lap-or better yet-two laps are required. they have been housecats all their lives and are really out of place in a shelter. They have so much love to give and they want to give it all to you.
Misty Sue is a beautiful Russian Blue bobtail mixed girl. She was originally adopted from Dogs & Cats as an eight week old but was returned when her owner could no longer care for her. Misty Sue is positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) but she needs no special food or medicine, and she will have a normal lifespan. She would prefer a home where she is the only cat.
Update: Jade has been adopted.
Jade is a six month old girl who loves to cuddle. She came to the shelter because her owner could not care for her. She loves to play, but her favorite place to be is in your lap. Jade is a very small cat who will probably be kitten-size even when she is all grown up
Update: Brady has been adopted.
Brady is an active nine month old who loves to talk. He is playful and social with people of all ages and with other cats. He was originally found as a stray but was obliviously a house pet at one time. Brady is charming boy who can’t wait to meet you
Siren came to us when her owner dumped her in the parking lot of the shelter. She was pregnant at the time and soon gave birth to four beautiful kittens. Siren only a year old and she loves to play and act like the kitten that she still is. She is very affectionate with people and would do best in an active home. She prefers being an only cat.f
Zoe is a nine year old Siamese mix who is frontal declawed. She was adopted from us a year ago but her owner passed away last week and she was returned to us. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl and family friends said that she and her owner were very bonded. She would be a great cat for a senior looking for a companion. She gets along with other cats and even has lived with dogs in the past. Zoe is available for adoption or as a permanent foster.
Finch and Cass are a mother/son combo who would love a home with room for both of them. Finch(the tabby) is only eight months old and his mom, Cass (the dilute calico) is one year. they would be happiest in a semi-active adult home with no dogs or small kids. They often sleep and play together, so they need to find a home together, too.
Update: Charlie has been adopted. Charlie is a handsome, frontal declawed twelve-year- old boy who had to come to the shelter after his mom moved into an apartment which doesn’t allow cats. He has lived in a home all of his life and needs to find another family as soon as possible. He needs a quiet setting with adults who will give him the TLC he is used to. He is available for adoption or permanent foster.
Update: Muffin has been adopted.
Muffin is a one year old sweetie who came to the shelter with a litter of kittens. Of course, her babies have all found homes, and now Muffin is waiting for someone to give her the same opportunity. She is smart and affectionate and would be happiest in a semi-active home with adults or older kids.
Rae is a gorgeous Russian Blue mixed girl with enchanting golden eyes. She is affectionate with people but prefers her own space when other cats are around. She would be best as an only cat and would make a great companion in an adult home.
Update: Cutie has been adopted.
Cutie is a darling seven-month-old boy who was surrendered with several of his siblings by a kindhearted person who rescued them. He is very affectionate and loving with people but tends to get jealous if another cat tries to get attention from “his” human. For this reason, he would be best as an only cat, although he would be OK with a dog .
He is a confident and playful boy who needs an active home.
Tigger is a beautiful orange tabby with classic markings who came to the shelter with his brother Mittens and sister Raven. He is very laid back but loves to interact with people.
He would be happiest in a quiet home-especially with one of his siblings
Raven is a gorgeous black beauty who came to the shelter with her brothers Tigger and Mittens, because their owner had to move to a place which did not allow pets. She is one year old and is very sweet with people and other cats, too. She would be happiest in a semi active adult home.
Mittens is a handsome one-year-old boy who came to the shelter with his siblings, Raven and Tigger. Mittens is a quiet boy who likes to be petted. He gets along great with other cats and could be adopted either by himself or with Raven or Tigger (even better)
Update: Shabby has been adopted.
Shabby is a six year old Persian. She has lived with an older woman all her life and needs a quiet home. She is very friendly with people but cannot be with any other animals. She must be the ONLY pet.
She was matted and our groomer spot shaved her, but she needs an owner who is used to dealing with a Persian coat. It is likely that she will have to be completely shaved or at minimum, brushed daily.
She is very out of place at the shelter. She needs a home as soon as possible
This beautiful girl needs a home ASAP

Great news! Casino’s adoption fee has been prepaid by a Guardian Angel
Casino is a two year old tabby with beautiful markings. He is very sweet but somewhat timid, so a quiet adult home would be best. He was found behind a local casino (hence the name) and it is a sure bet that he would make a great companion in a home of his own.
Take a chance-meet Casino today
Great news! Hawthorne’s adoption fee has been prepaid by a Guardian Angel
Hawthorne is a young cat who has tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (also called FIV or feline AIDS). He was rescued after being dumped at a local park. He is a sweet and loving boy who was obviously a house pet as a kitten, but as so often happens, was no longer wanted after he grew into a cat.
Hawthorne would be perfect for a family of any age. He has no special medical needs, and will live a normal lifespan. He should be an only cat or live in a home with other FIV+ cats, as FIV is contagious to other cats in certain circumstances. FIV IS A CATS-ONLY VIRUS AND CANNOT AFFECT PEOPLE OR DOGS.
Hawthorne has lots of love to give and he wants to give it all to you!
Update: Arizona has been adopted.
Arizona is a long-haired young frontal declawed girl who was found outside as a stray. She is an extremely sweet lap cat and likes to be held. She would be happy in a home with adults or older kids who will make sure that she never goes outside, as she has no claws and no defence against predators.
Bojangles was trapped accidentally by shelter staff who were trying to capture another cat which had run away from her home. Bojangles had scars from many fights with other unneutered male cats and, sadly, tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Now that he has been neutered and has been at the shelter for two months, he is looking-and feeling-much better, and staff and volunteers love his sweet personality. Bojangles never had a real home, but we are sure he would love a chance to be part of a loving family. Because he is FIV+ he must be an only cat or with other cats who are FIV+ also.
Great News! Bojangles’ adoption fee has been paid by a GuardianAngel
Baxter is a young FIV-positive boy who was found behind a local shopping plaza. He is very affectionate and was obviously somebody’s pet before he was abandoned. He is good with other cats, and will have a normal lifespan, but because he is has the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, he should be either an only cat or live with other FIV-positive cats in an indoor home.
….and then there was one
When three-month-olds Groucho, Harpo, and Chico arrived at the shelter seven years ago, they were very shy around people. Groucho became friendly soon afterward, and was adopted. His brother, Chico, and sister, Harpo, spent the next six years cuddling together and avoiding people. A few months ago, Chico started to trust his caregivers and found out that he liked to be petted. He was adopted after spending seven years at the shelter and is dong well in his new home.
Now that Chico is gone, Harpo has suddenly started to become friendly and looks forward to being petted. She has been at the shelter long enough. She needs someone who will give her whatever time is necessary to acclimate to a real home. She would do well with other cats who are non-aggressive like herself.
If you have room for another kitty and the patience to let her be herself, consider Harpo.
