Browny

imageimg_5407

Browny is a beautiful Hound mix.  He is a little fearful but warms up quickly.  He doesn’t like other dogs so needs to be the only one in the home.  He loves his stuffed animal and will carry it around all day.  Browny will also sit and give his paw to you.   Browny needs an experienced handler with no children.

Bella

imageimage

Bella, a sweet, young pit mix found her way to the shelter as a stray.  Very small, only about 50 lbs. Bella is very active and requires a fenced yard.  She would be good with kids but does have a prey drive so needs someone who is attentive.  Quiet and gentle in nature.  No cats, fence required.

Furball

image

Furball is a seven-month-old tabby boy who came to the shelter after his owner passed away. He had been with his owner since he was born, so he is somewhat frightened at the shelter but he is warming up to both the other cats and also to new people. Furball needs a quiet adult home with lots of TLC.

GREAT NEWS!! FURBALL’S ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN PAID BY A GUARDIAN ANGEL

Fria

image

Fria is a solid white declawed beauty who was found as a stray. She is affectionate but very uncomfortable at the shelter so it would be better if she were the only cat in the household. She is estimated to be about 5 or 6 years old. Fria needs a quiet adult home with lots of TLC. Because she occasionally needs a steroid shot and low fat diet, she is available for permanent foster a well as adoption

Millie

image

Millie came to the shelter after her leg was broken in a car engine, where she had been napping. She is four months old, now and her leg is completely healed. She is very active and would do best in a home with active adults and older kids to play with. She loves other cats and would even tolerate a dog.

Caroline

image

Caroline is a middle-aged beautiful classic Calico girl who was found as a stray in a Port St. Lucie neighborhood. She is very social with people and extremely tolerant of other cats. Caroline would be happiest in a home with adults or a home with older kids.

Lucille

imageLucille was abandoned in a Port St. Lucie neighborhood after her owners moved away and left her.  She is about two years old and although she is not completely comfortable with other cats, she is getting more social with other felines. She is good with people and would be a great cat for an active family.

Etta

imageEtta is a ten month old beauty who came to us as a shy four month old. She became the self-appointed nanny to all of the motherless kittens at the shelter-grooming them, loving them, and even pretending to let them nurse on her. She raised 20 kittens this spring and summer, and every time a group went home she “adopted” another group.  While she was socializing the kittens, she became socialized herself so that now, she likes to be petted and loved by people.  Etta is lovely girl who-with a little patience will be a loving and loyal companioon.

Good news!  Etta’s adoption fee has been paid by her Guardian Angel

Darlin’

image

Darlin’ is a young calico girl who was dropped off in the parking lot of the shelter. She was frightened by the barking dogs, and ran a few doors down to a nearby business, which had her picked up by animal control. Now that Darlin’ is safely back with Dogs & cats, she is ready for a new home and someone who will care for her properly. She is a loving kitty who will be a great companion in an adult home.

Opie

image

Opie is a handsome, one-year-old boy who loves people. He is playful and would be right at home with a young active family. He gets along with other cats and with people of all ages. Opie is ready to spend his life loving you.

Salem Sam

Great News!  My adoption fee has been paid by my Guardian Angel-Beth Stern.

Salem is a super-sweet boy who has many scars from life as an outside cat before we found him. He is also positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) also from living outside and being bitten by other cats. He is one of the gentlest, most loving cats at the shelter, and he would be perfect for an owner of any age. Salem is available for permanent foster as well as for adoption.

Fawna

Fawna is a very sweet and petite young tabby girl who came to us with a litter of kittens. She has retired from motherhood and is now looking for a career as a lap cat. She loves people of all ages and would be great in an active home.

Great News! My adoption fee has been paid by my Guardian Angel

Lucas and Luna

image

image

Lucas and Luna are a two-year-old Siamese mix brother and sister who came to the shelter a few months ago. They are very well-mannered and sweet, but like most housecats are extremely out of place at the shelter. They need a quiet home where they can resume their lives as lap warmers and window watchers.

Zoe

image

Zoe is a three-year-old girl who has been at the shelter for more than a year. She is very sweet and quiet-so much so that she never gets noticed by potential adopters-and would make a wonderful companion for an older person in a semi-active home.

Harvey

Harvey is a young FIV- positive boy who came to us from another rescue.  He is very handsome and social and gets along with other cats. He should be an only cat or be housed with other FIV-Positive cats as the virus is contagious to cats in certain circumstances. Harvey is available for adoption or permanent fosterharvey.

Libby and Amos

image

Libby and her brother Amos have been though a lot together, but you would never know it from their sweet and loving personalities. Amos is a lovebug who’ll sit in your lap, while Libby will sit next to you on your bed or chair. They were housed in a warehouse for almost a year when their former shelter closed down, but despite everything they always had each other. They are available for either adoption or permanent foster, but no matter what happens, they will always love each other. They are ready to love you, too.

Scrappy and Star

image

Scrappy and Star are looking for a permanent foster home together. They were adopted as kittens from Dogs & Cats seven years ago and returned because the owners were moving. They were so upset that they hid under their beds for a month. They are camera shy so this photo is as good as it gets–so come see them in person. Scrappy is a sweet solid black boy and Star is a petite black and white girl. They have been in isolation for a month because they are unable to acclimate to a cat room. They want to go to a real home again.

gizmo and Lovebug

Purrfect Pair

Gizmo and her sister Lovebug are three year old sweethearts who love to be held and petted. They are both lap cats, so an extra big lap-or better yet-two laps are required. they have been housecats all their lives and are really out of place in a shelter. They have so much love to give and they want to give it all to you.image

Gizmo and Lovebug

imageGizmo and Lovebug are three year old sisters who came to the shelter as five-week-olds. They were fostered for two and a half years so they are used to being in a home with adults, kids and other cats. They are both lap cats and love to be held and petted.  If you have room on your lap for these two sweet and beautiful girls, please consider taking them both, a they have been together all their lives and love each other.
