Great news!! My adoption fee has been paid by my Guardian Angel.

Heidi is a senior Maine Coon mix girl who lost her home when her owner passed away.  She was left alone in a home for many months while her owner was ill so she is anxious for attention.  She is very loving and needs to be back into a home as soon as possible.

Sooty

Sooty is a twelve year old sweetheart who lost her home when her owner could no longer care for her. She was a house cat all her life and we are hoping that she will be able to find a home again very soon.  She is a very small kitty and needs to be brushed on a regular basis.  She has always been the only pet of a mature owner, so she is looking for a calm home with no other pets.  Sooty is available for adoption or permanent foster.

Remy and Hannah

Remy and Hannah are a bonded senior pair.  They are looking for a permanent foster to make their home available.  They are male and female, house trained and good with children.  Their owner has been displaced and had no other option then to surrender them.  They had originally been adopted from our shelter and as our policy states, we will always take in our rescue pets.  Unfortunately, these two senior dogs are in a hard situation.  If you foster for us we will cover all costs, we just want these two to live our their lives in the comfort of a home.  Please help make their last few years good ones.  They are gentle souls.

Salem Sam

Great News!  My adoption fee has been paid by my Guardian Angel-Beth Stern.

Salem is a super-sweet boy who has many scars from life as an outside cat before we found him. He is also positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) also from living outside and being bitten by other cats. He is one of the gentlest, most loving cats at the shelter, and he would be perfect for an owner of any age. Salem is available for permanent foster as well as for adoption.

Goldie

Goldie is an 11 year old female who was rescued by Dogs & Cats Forever from a kill shelter on her last day before euthanasia in 2007. She has never been too comfortable with shelter life. Even though people were interested in her she shied away until we moved into the new building two weeks ago. Since moving into the new building she has become friendly with other cats and extremely happy. She’s available for permanent Foster and with the right home with middle-aged people and no other animals she would be just fine.  She’s a very nice girl who needs a chance to prove that it’s never too late to find a home with the right people.

Great News! Goldie’s adoption fee has been paid by a Guardian Angel

They are very sweet and docile and they need a new home as soon as possible.

Trouble

Trouble1

Update: Trouble has been adopted.

Trouble is in trouble, and she needs your help.

Trouble is a seventeen year old Tortoiseshell calico girl who was surrendered by her owner. Sadly, after living with the same family ever since she was six weeks old, it looks like Trouble may have to spend her remaining years in a shelter.

According to her former owner, Trouble had not been to the vet in several years, and tests revealed that she had been suffering from diabetes for some time. She is now on insulin injections and the rest of her bloodwork is normal.

Trouble is available for permanent foster, which means that her insulin, syringes and special food will be provided by the shelter to anyone who will take her home and care for her. She is frontal declawed, and is very well-mannered and sweet.

Trouble needs someone who will love her and care for her for the remainder of her golden years-in a real home like she is used to. Although shelter staff and volunteers will do their best to care for Trouble, it will be very hard for her to adjust to shelter life.

If you have room in your heart and room in your home, please help Trouble.
