Browny

Browny is a beautiful Hound mix.  He is a little fearful but warms up quickly.  He doesn’t like other dogs so needs to be the only one in the home.  He loves his stuffed animal and will carry it around all day.  Browny will also sit and give his paw to you.   Browny needs an experienced handler with no children.

Hey Hey, I’m Ripley, I am a little itty bitty puppy.   I’m about 17 weeks and a hound mix adorable boy.  They don’t come must cuter than this.  We expect Ripley will be a medium size dog about  and he will need a fence so that he can run around and play.  Good with all dogs and kids.

Gomer

Gomer was found as a stray and has a silly personality.  Typical hound puppy, Gomer is probably 8 or 9 months old.  He is very active, good with other dogs and kids.  Gomer loves to run and will need a fence.  Gomer is still a puppy and will require training and potty training.  Stop by to meet Gomer.

Tank is a twelve month old hound mix male. He is very friendly and loves to play. Tank is going to grow into a large dog and will need lots of exercise and training.  If you are looking for a young dog that will be your forever friends for many years to come Tank may be the dog for you. Sadie is a three year old female mix. There is probably some Hound, Miniature Pinscher, and a half dozen other breeds in her wood pile. What we do know is that she is a very sweet dog that gets along with anyone. If you’re looking for a new forever friend who is friendly and loves attention Sadie may be the dog for you.

Happy is a twelve year old female Hound mix who is looking for a new forever home. Happy found her way to the shelter when her owner passed away. Happy would love to find a new home where she can love you. Happy gets along with cats, dogs and children. If you are looking for a low maintenance senior dog Happy may be the girl for you.

This sweet girl is named Jada. She is about an eight year old Hound and American Bulldog mix. She was originally adopted out from Dogs and Cats Forever around 2009 but her owner unfortunately passed away. Jada is a sweet girl who would do well in a house where she is the only dog. A cat free home is also required. If you would like to Foster or adopt a very loving and sweet dog, stop by the shelter and meet Jada. She has many more years of pets and cuddles left in her.

Shyann

This sweet girl is named Shyann. She is a eleven month old Shepherd and Hound Mix. She loves to play and run. Shyann has a great disposition and gets along well with other dogs her size. If you’re looking for a little ball of fire and a very sweet girl, stop by the shelter and say hello to Shyann. She would love to meet you.

Yin

YinYin is the other half of Yang whom has already been adopted. Yin is a four year old female American Bulldog and Hound Mix. She would do well in a dog only active family home without cats. If you are looking for a new best friend, stop by the shelter during business hours and say hello to Yin. She would love to meet you.

This way cute girl is named Hannah. She is about an eight week old puppy. She looks to be some kind of Hound and Shepherd mix. Hannah found her way to the shelter as a stray and will be available for adoption after 5/19/2014. This sweet girl is named Taylor. She is about a two year old Vizsla and Hound mix that was found stray near Excel Ave in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. She seems to be housebroken and and has a sweet personality. If we can not find Taylor’s owners she will become available for adoption after 3/30/2014.Taylor1

Sheena

Update: Sheena has been adopted.

Sheena is about a three month old female Australian Shepherd and Hound mix. Someone just dumped her at shelter. She gets along with other dogs and has a very playful and nice attitude. One Eyed Jack

Update: One Eyed Jack has been adopted.

This guy has been named One Eyed Jack. He is about a four year old Hound Mix. We got him from the county Humane Society and don’t know much about him other then he will definitely live to see another day. If you’re looking for a great dog for Halloween or Pirates Day then this one may be for you. It takes a little time for Jack to get used to you and feel comfortable and since he only has one eye he tends to run in a lot of circles to see everything. One_eye_jack1

This little guy is named Peanut. We think he is part American Bulldog and part Hound mix. Peanut is just over three years old and is very good natured. He gets along with other dogs and loves to play.

If you’re looking for a smaller dog with some energy that loves to play then Peanut may be a good fit.

Peanut is looking for a forever home and he says he doesn’t eat that much!

 

Cookie

Cookie is a female Hound mix that came into the shelter after her owner was moving and couldn’t take her along.

Cookie is about a year and a half old. She is very affectionate once she gets to know and trust you but before that she is a very shy girl.

Cookie would probably do well in a quiet home without small children. Can you say “no” that sweet face?
