Chunk

Chunk is a sweet young adult boy who came to the shelter because he was FIV positive. He gets along with people of all ages and other cats, too.

I’m a young adult boy who arrived at the shelter because I was FIV positive and no one wanted to keep me. If they had only researched FIV they would have known that I cannot transmit it to people, dogs, or any other species and the only way I can transmit it to a cat is to bite the cat. Since I’m a peace-loving boy it was very unlikely that I would do so. I will have a normal life span and require no special food or special medicine. All I need is a loving home.

Great news!! My guardian angel has paid my adoption fee

Chica is a darling four year old girl who loves everyone! She adores her human visitors and feline friends alike. She’s exceptionally sweet and ready to soak up all of the affection that comes her way. Chica would make an excellent addition to a family that is looking for their new best friend.

Simon

Simon is a young Tabby and white boy who was found living outside. He was being picked on by other cats and was found to be FIV positive. He’s very loving and sweet and loves to give head bumps

Head bumps and snuggles are in your future. Simon is just two years old and he’s ridiculously sweet. Despite being picked up off of the streets after other cats picked on him, he doesn’t mind sharing his space with other felines. Unfortunately, like many cats who end up living outdoors and are involved in fights, he contracted FIV. Luckily he can live a pretty normal life. Grayson

Grayson is an FIV positive boy who needs a home as an only cat. He is extremely friendly with people

What a difference 2 years can make. When Grayson left the shelter 2 years ago, he was a handsome somewhat chunky middle-aged boy and happy to be going to a home! Sadly his owner did not care for him properly and left him outside. When he returned to us a few months ago after being found in a colony of feral cats, we did not recognize him. Only the microchip and the little freckle in his right eye told us who he was.

Even worse, he contracted FIV while living outside. Grayson loves people and is very friendly but he absolutely refuses to get along with any other cats, especially after his time on the streets. A recent vet visit confirmed that Grayson is in good health. He is about 9 years old now and needs to be in a single cat home where he will be pampered and loved, this time around. Unfortunately when I was living outside I contracted FIV but the good thing is that I don’t need any special medicine or special food and I’ll have a normal life span. All I need now is a place to call home and a family to love. To learn more about what owning a FIV+ cat entails, click here

George

I’m a handsome boy who has had a rough life. My owner kept me outdoors and I contracted FIV. I had ear mites which made one of my ears look very funny. I only need an indoor home with lots of love. I’m all better now and I don’t need any special medicine or food. Sadly this makes it harder for me to find a home because people don’t understand what it means.
