I was destined to live my life outdoors as a stray until a kind hearted person saved me. I am a very sweet boy who’s looking for a pampered life as a house cat. I contracted FIV outside but the doctor says that I will live a normal life span as long as I have a special someone to care for me.
My rescuer is also my Guardian Angel and she paid my adoption fee.
Brickle is a super sweet golden-eyed beauty who found her way to the shelter from another rescue. She is positive for FIV but is in excellent health and would be fine with other FIV positive cats or non-aggressive cats. She needs no special food medicine and will have a normal life span. She loves people and would do well with a family of any age.
Thalia is a beautiful black and white girl with amber eyes and a sweet disposition
She and her two sisters we’re born with FIV so they must live with other FIV positive cats , dogs, or non aggressive cats. Thalia will have a normal life span and requires no special food or medication. She would love an adult home where she could get lots of TLC
Harvey is a young FIV- positive boy who came to us from another rescue. He is very handsome and social and gets along with other cats. He should be an only cat or be housed with other FIV-Positive cats as the virus is contagious to cats in certain circumstances. Harvey is available for adoption or permanent foster.
Great news! Hawthorne’s adoption fee has been prepaid by a Guardian Angel
Hawthorne is a young cat who has tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (also called FIV or feline AIDS). He was rescued after being dumped at a local park. He is a sweet and loving boy who was obviously a house pet as a kitten, but as so often happens, was no longer wanted after he grew into a cat.
Hawthorne would be perfect for a family of any age. He has no special medical needs, and will live a normal lifespan. He should be an only cat or live in a home with other FIV+ cats, as FIV is contagious to other cats in certain circumstances. FIV IS A CATS-ONLY VIRUS AND CANNOT AFFECT PEOPLE OR DOGS.
Hawthorne has lots of love to give and he wants to give it all to you!
Bojangles was trapped accidentally by shelter staff who were trying to capture another cat which had run away from her home. Bojangles had scars from many fights with other unneutered male cats and, sadly, tested positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Now that he has been neutered and has been at the shelter for two months, he is looking-and feeling-much better, and staff and volunteers love his sweet personality. Bojangles never had a real home, but we are sure he would love a chance to be part of a loving family. Because he is FIV+ he must be an only cat or with other cats who are FIV+ also.
Great News! Bojangles’ adoption fee has been paid by a GuardianAngel
LOOK IT UP! ASK YOUR VET! ASK YOU DOCTOR!
YOU CANNOT CATCH FIV FROM YOUR CAT!
Boogie is friendly six-month old who was found on his own outside. When we tested him, we found that he was positive for FIV,also called feline AIDS.
Cats with FIV can have normal life spans if kept indoors, so what this means for Boogie is that if he is not adopted, he will spend the next 10-15 years at the shelter.
He is not contagious to people, or dogs and he is only contagious to other cats if he fights with them or bites them. He is not contagious to other FIV positive cats.
Boogie needs a real home. Please give him a chance
