Dre is a 9 year old male pit bull. Once he gets to know you, he is very friendly and lovable. He would do good as the only pet in the home, with adults or older children only. Despite being a senior boy, he has a lot of energy so he will require a fenced-in yard where he can play in between walks with his owner. Dre knows his basic commands such as down and sit. He can even shake your hand. If you’re looking for a very hearty dog with a lots of love to give, Dre may be the dog for you.
This is Jax, a 9 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix. Jax is a great dog for an active family. Jax would do well in an environment where he has lots of exercise or a specific job to do. He’s very smart and loyal but needs stimulation. Jax likes to herd and he uses his mouth to pull you somewhere to show you something. Small children would probably not be a good fit but as long as you understand how Jax operates and behaves you will quickly learn Jax is an awesome dog and very very smart. He will require a special home though: he needs to have a single female owner, he does not do well with men. Come to the shelter and meet him and you will see for yourself how awesome Jax is.
Buzzy is a 9 year old male lab mix, with a medium energy level. He came to the shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. He will need to be the only pet in his new home. Buzzy would really like a family to call his own.
Slugger is a 2 year old loving and loyal boxer mix who is full of energy and kisses. He was originally found as a stray. He will need a home with a fenced-in yard. Slugger would be perfect for almost any family.
Baba is a nearly 8 year old male pit bull mix. He is shy and afraid in the shelter, and has been here since he was just a puppy. Baba would do well with a fenced-in yard and a home with only adults and no other pets. Baba has been working with a dog trainer while at the shelter and is learning to walk nicely on a leash. He is such a love and it’s time that he find his forever family.
Ezra is an almost 2 year old shepherd mix. Her rescue situation causes her to be untrusting and scared of new people. She needs an experienced, adult-only home that will take the time to get to know her to see that she is a great dog. She is a very active and will require a fenced-in yard. She is dog selective and her opinion on cats is unknown.
Honey is an almost 10 year old female Scottie Mix. She is very particular about the people she allows to get close to her. Once she trusts you she is very affectionate. Honey would do best as an only pet in an adult home. If you are looking for a new forever friend Honey may be the dog for you.
This happy guy is named Diesel. Diesel is a 9 year old Lab/American Bulldog mix. He loves to play and has a great disposition. Diesel needs lots of exercise so if you have a big fenced-in yard or love to go on walks Diesel may be the dog for you.
Coco is an 8 year old male lab. Coco had a loving family but they were forced to give him up during rough times. He is nervous being surrounded by other dogs in the shelter so he would prefer to be the only dog in his home. He does like cats though, and will need a fenced-in yard. Coco is super sweet and will love you forever.
Jeffrey is an almost 5 year old shepherd/curr mix. He is a little shy at first but warms up once he gets to trust you. Jeffrey found his way to the shelter when someone saw him wandering around in the rain on the side of the road. He’s looking for an adult home with a fenced-in yard. Jeffrey would love it if you could stop by and meet him.
Princess is a 12 year old female Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. She found her way to the shelter when her home was foreclosed on; her owners were forced to move where pets are not allowed. Princess is a little nervous at first but warms up once she gets to know you. She would do well in a home with adults and older children, without cats. If you would like to meet princess stop by the shelter and say hi. Princess would love to meet you.
Briggs is a 2 1/2 year old male curr/hound mix. He will require a fenced-in yard and needs some basic training. He would like to be the only pet in an adult home. He took a trip with a volunteer to the beach one day and he loved it! He is a sweet boy once you get to know him.
Did you know we have a big teddy bear up for adoption? His name is Tater, he’s a senior chow chow boy. He was adopted from us 11 years ago, but unfortunately his adopter became ill and had to bring him back. He needs an experienced owner that can dedicate their time to him only – he would like to be the only pet in an adult home. He’s now waiting for a patient & understanding person to come along and care for him in his golden years.
Leah is a 3 year old lab/blue heeler mix. She is a little shy at first but is a really sweet girl. She loves to swim. Leah likes other dogs and will need an adult home. She is pretty good at jumping fences so she will need someone who has time to walk her and/or supervise her in a yard. Her brother Luke is also available for adoption.
Frost is a 1 1/2 year old male terrier mix. It might take him a little bit to get used to you, but he is silly and full of spunk. He needs an adult-only home, but would do great with other dogs. He does not have to be adopted with his roommate Crystal, but would love to be if that is possible.

Coco (tan female) & Dobie (black/brown male) are 13 year old chihuahua mixes. Coco is calm and gentle, while Dobie still has a bit of spunk. They are a bonded pair and must go to a home together; they are available for adoption or foster. They like other small dogs, but don’t like big dogs. They are looking for a quiet, adult home.
Sammi is a 4 year old female chihuahua. She came from a 200+ dog hoarding situation, so she had very little human contact before coming to the shelter. She would love a patient adult-only home, maybe even with a dog brother/sister. She just needs time and understanding so she can learn that humans are good.
Gilly (tan, right) is a 6 year old female chihuahua. She came from a 200+ dog hoarding situation, so she never got to interact with people very much. She needs someone to take the time to let her warm up to them, and show her that humans can be great. She does great with other dogs but would like a home that has no children.
