ONE YEAR WITH NO INTEREST, WILL ANYONE EVER COME FOR ME? My name is Leah. I’m starting to think that nobody will give me a chance. I would make an excellent companion for an active adult family and I like other dogs. I’m a girl who loves to have fun, go swimming and would enjoy having a fenced-in yard to run and play in with my people! When I see someone that I don’t know, I bark. Trust me, I’m all talk – I have to alert my people when a stranger is near! But, just ignore me for a minute, and I will soon become your new best friend. Unfortunately, most would just dismiss a dog like me and walk on by, and that’s why I’ve been here for over a year. I’m a real sweet heart once I know you, and it doesn’t take much time or effort. I might put up a front but I’ll melt in your hands like putty shortly after. Loads of love and licks are in the future of my adopter.
Petey’s got it all – the looks, the charisma, and the loving heart that every potential adopter hopes to take home with them. This sweet senior guy is a volunteer favorite and it’s pretty clear why. He really turns on the charm with his hugs, kisses and desire to be by your side. This angel boy awaits a family that consists of adults or teenagers, and wouldn’t mind sharing his home with another pup. Consider bringing home lots of love – head on over and adopt Petey today!
Attention everybody – Rocky is in the house (and hopefully one day, he will be in yours)! At just four years old – this Boxer mix has the smarts and the endearing personality that anyone would adore. Whether he’s playing with you and your active family in a fenced-in yard of his own, or curled up on the couch during your favorite tv show, Rocky is living proof that life is just better with four paws and a wagging tail around.
Rocky has spent half of his life with us, and while we love having a guy like him around, no dog should have to spend years without a family! Take a bit of time to get to know him, and you’ll be asking how he could be passed up for so long! Rocky needs to be the only pet in his home, so finding a family with an empty nest can be difficult. Please share Rocky and help us find the family he’s been waiting for!
I’m Slugger – Handsome, charming and the goofiest of all the goof balls. I truly love to play and need to be on the move to be healthy, but my genetics left me with a bad back at a young age.
So what does this mean for me? I need a structured exercise routine and a calm home. I would do well with quiet older kids and senior/calmer dogs that will be my companions but not get me too excited, so I don’t hurt myself! I would love to go on walks with my family and indulge in restricted play in a fenced-in yard of my own. If you think you can give me the forever home that I’ve been dreaming of, consider adding me to your pack.
I’m Ezra, a 2 year old shepherd mix. I was rescued from an awful situation, which causes me to be very untrusting and scared of people that I don’t know. I’m really hoping someone will come along and see the potential I have to be their best friend. I just need someone who is willing to be patient and get to know me. I need an experienced adult home, I am dog selective so if you have a dog already, we will have to meet first.
Hey there, I’m Browny, a 6 year old hound mix! I can be a little shy at first. I’m the most handsome boy, and I love to carry my toys around with me. I need an experienced adult home with no other pets; I want you all to myself! I’ll also need a fenced-in yard to run around and be a goof ball in. Come in to meet me, I’ll sit and give my paw to you.
Hey, Briggs here. I’m a 2 1/2 year old curr/hound mix. I’m a handsome guy who you’re sure to love once you get to know me. The shelter says that I could use some basic training, which is totally fine with me, I’ll do whatever it takes to find my forever family. I’m in search of an active adult home as the only pet. I’ll also need a fenced-in yard where I can run and play with you.
Hey, Luke here. I’m a sweet guy looking for my forever home. I’m a 3 year old Lab/Blue heeler mix. I’m good with other dogs and need an adult home. My sister, Leah, is up for adoption too; it would be pretty cool if we could go to a home together, but if you only have room for one that’s okay too.
The names Lola. I’m a 9 year old Rottweiler/Boxer mix, so you could say I’ve got a few years of experience in the fine art of friendship. I’m a lively & playful senior girl who would make the perfect companion for a lucky family out there! I would do well in a home with adults or older children, and I even get along with other dogs & cats. Not only am I extremely sweet, I’m smart too. I’ve got my basic commands down and if you wanted to throw me a few treats, I’d be eager to learn more. Every dog deserves to spend their golden years in a loving home, and I’ll be waiting for my people to find me!
Sammi is a 4 year old female chihuahua. She came from a 200+ dog hoarding situation, so she had very little human contact before coming to the shelter. She would love a patient adult-only home, maybe even with a dog brother/sister. She just needs time and understanding so she can learn that humans are good.
