Sasha

sasha

Beautiful Shepherd.  Sasha is only one-two year old and still a puppy.  She is a little shy at first but will warm up.  She will require a fence.  She prefers not to have a small dog in the home.
She was an owner surrender because their older chihuahua was picking on her.  She is nervous in the shelter as most GSD are, they do not to well in a kennel environment.  She is extremely intelligent and respects the handler.  Likes the pool and walks well on a leash, she does know basic commands.

Mimi

Mimi is an eight year old female Boxer and Beagle Mix. She is very high energy and loves to run around. A fenced in yard would be a bonus but lots of walks and exercise on a leash could also suffice. Mimi knows basic commands such as sit and stay. She is also house broken. She gets along with other dogs, kids but likes to bark and chase cats.  Mimi likes to swim and play in the pool.

Buzzy

buzzy

Lab Mix—6 yrs.-Male

Buzzy is the perfect size dog.  He is a lab mix and is a medium energy dog, well balanced dog.  Buzzy would really like a family to call his own.    Buzzy came in to the shelter because his owner could no longer care for him.  He would do best in a home as the only pet.

Millie

image

Millie came to the shelter after her leg was broken in a car engine, where she had been napping. She is four months old, now and her leg is completely healed. She is very active and would do best in a home with active adults and older kids to play with. She loves other cats and would even tolerate a dog.

Lulu

lulu1Update: Lulu has been adopted.

Lulu was recently fostered and she loves to sleep in bed with her humans. She is very loving with people but would prefer to be the only cat in the home. She is eight years old and would be available for permanent foster or adoption.

Lulu is a loving former housecat who would love a home of her own again.

Jinglebelle and Mistletoe

Update: Jinglebelle and Mistletoe have been adopted.

These beautiful girls are two year old Jinglebelle and her mother, Mistletoe, who is four. They were adopted as a pair from us over a year ago, but tragically, their owner passed away and now they are back at the shelter. They love each other and need to stay together. They are very sweet and docile and they need a new home as soon as possible.

Dogs and Cats Board of Directors

One hundred and seventy-two guests dined on appetizers from sponsors such as Cuisine256, OooLaLa Catering, Tutto Fresco, and many more. Beverages were provided by Southern Eagle Distributors. Top notch entertainment consisted of “All Around Entertainment for You” with Melissa & Rich. The flowers donated by St. Lucie Florist graced the tables that were donated by Eventmakers. Our volunteer bartenders were Chris Dobek and Jimmy Tresco, our wait staff Jackie Massaro, and Melissa Reese. Our Photographer & Artist, Karla Smith drove up from Boca Raton to capture the event. Additional photography was provided by Marisol Guntkowski.

Every guest went home with a “Doggie Bag” provided by PrimeK9Cuisine of Miami and BoneAppetit out of Casselberry, Florida.

The committee chairs, Kathy DiChiara, Fran Fernandes, Angela Gardella, Mich Moeding, and Amy Vanderbreggen’s teamwork was evident at this function. Everything went off with out a hitch. Let’s not forget the volunteers Porcha Beneditti, MaryLou Flynn, Judy Marchionni, Hilda Rosa and Jan Zeek. None of their husbands got off easy either, they were put to work behind the scenes.

All and all the hard work paid off because it was a tremendous success!
