Once upon a time, Timmy was a tired, skinny dog with more heart than strength. Found wandering and hungry, he came to the shelter in December 2024 looking for a second chance. And he grabbed it with his tail wagging.
Fast forward to today—Timmy is healthy, happy, and ready to meet his forever family. He still loves snuggles and being around people, but his favorite time of day is when he gets to explore outside. Whether he’s sniffing every blade of grass or following the breeze, Timmy uses his nose like a little explorer discovering the world. He’s motivated by treats, walks well on a leash (even if he gets a bit distracted by all the excitement around him), and would thrive with someone who appreciates his curious spirit.
Timmy is looking for a home filled with love, patience, and plenty of outdoor time. If you’re ready to give a sweet, resilient pup a new chapter, Timmy might just be your perfect match.
Meet Elsa! This gentle and sweet soul has been with us after being brought in as a stray. Elsa thrives in the yard, where she can enjoy playtime, and she gets along wonderfully with other dogs. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion, Elsa could be the perfect match for your family!

Hazel’s story is one of incredible resilience. After a tragic incident where she was shot in the back with a BB gun and left paralyzed, Hazel has made remarkable progress. Thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers, she is now walking—and she no longer needs her stroller! It’s amazing to see how quickly she gets around and how joyfully she plays with the other dogs in the yard.
Hazel’s upper body is strong—just like her spirit. She’s a people-loving pup with a heart full of determination. While she once relied on stroller rides to explore the world, she now walks proudly on her own.
Hazel would thrive as a second dog in a household, as she absolutely loves the company of other dogs. She’s ready for adoption, and meet-and-greets can be scheduled to find her perfect match. The shelter team will support her new family every step of the way to ensure a smooth transition.
If you have the love and commitment to continue Hazel’s journey, come meet this extraordinary girl at Dogs And Cats Forever.

Hello, my name is Zoey. Love is doggy kisses! Shall I demonstrate? I’m approximately 6 years old and a Pitty Mix. I’m a very beautiful girl and super sweet. Although, I love attention from my human friends, I’m pretty dog selective. Therefore, I would need to be the only dog in the house. I would also like to have a fenced in yard to play in. I’m looking forward to finding my forever home!
Hello, my name is Skyler. I’m very sweet and they call me mellow yellow due to my chill temperament. I would love a fenced in yard to play in. I can be dog selective, and I seem to be more comfortable with women than men. I’m pretty strong, so no small children. If you’d like to meet me, please call the shelter to schedule an appointment. Applications are also online. I’m looking forward to finding my forever home!
Happiness is having me as your very own! I’ll wait for you! Odin came to our shelter as an abused and underweight stray. Even with his sad past, Odin has prevailed and is a good and loving boy. Odin needs an adult only home and to be the only pet. He can’t wait to find his forever home!
So, if I give you my paw I get a treat right?! Pretty please! Jasper had a rough start to life. He came from an abusive situation and found himself at a Kill-Shelter. We took Jasper in and a local trainer stepped up to work with him. Jasper even made friends with another adoptable dog of ours. He is still learning his manners and working to prepare himself for his forever home. He needs a family that consists of adults or teenagers. He would love a fenced-in yard where he can play. Help us find a forever home he deserves!
Beautiful Bella is looking for a foster or better yet a forever home! Bella has been a student in the Pawsitive Direction Program – LARC 501c3 in Loxahatchee to work on training for the past few months. She will graduate soon fully obedience trained, AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) ready, and/or Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Canine Life and Social Skills (CLASS) ready.
Look, I dressed up just for you! Bella is a 5 year old pit bull mix, with a beautiful tri-color coat and expressive eyes. Her new family should be ready for a house/kennel trained, wiggly medium-energy pup who promises endless love and devotion to her people. Since she does have a prey drive, she needs a home as the only pup with no small furry or feathered animals. She’s smart, focused and would be excellent at a sport or spending time on a lure course. Bella would do well with kids; she lived with a special needs little boy at one point and did amazing!
