I’m Hal, I am a 6 year old male Chihuahua. I came in with a bunch of other dogs and prefer to be with others. I am a handsome little devil. I am learning to trust humans and need someone who is kind to adopt me.
Sheba is an extremely loyal six year old beautiful German Shepherd. She will be your favorite companion and always greet you with her happy, goofy smile. She loves to travel, her favorite activities are hiking on trails, taking walks on the beach and exploring new places. She loves to pull her people around on the skateboard. She is not a huge fan of water. She will get her paws wet but going in the water makes her very nervous. Sheba is not comfortable around boys or most men. Sheba can be very aggressive with other animals and needs a home as the only pet. She can get used to a male owner but is more comfortable with women. She is an excellent guard dog. No intruder will get past her. She checks on everyone in the house before bed and in the morning, like clock work. She knows about a dozen commands and loves training.
Princess is a seven and a half year old female Shepherd and Rottweiler mix. She found her way into the shelter when you home was foreclosed on and her owners were forced to move where pets are not allowed. Princess is a little nervous at first but warms up once she gets to know you. She would do well in a home without small children or cats. If you would like to meet princess stop by the shelter and say hi. Princess would love to meet you.
Honey is a five and a half year old female Scottie Mix. She is very particular about the people she allows to get close to her. Once she trusts you she is very affectionate. Honey would do best as an only pet without any children in the house. If you are looking for a new forever friend Honey may be the dog for you.
Dre is almost a five and a half year old male Pit Bull Terrier. Once he gets to know you he is very friendly and lovable. He would do good in a dog only home without other pets, cats or very small children. Dre knows his basic commands such as down and sit. He can even shake your hand. If you’re looking for a very hearty dog with a lots of heart Dre may be the dog for you.
Yin is the other half of Yang whom has already been adopted. Yin is a six year old female American Bulldog and Hound Mix. She would do well in an adult home with no other pets. If you are looking for a new best friend, stop by the shelter during business hours and say hello to Yin. She would love to meet you.
This sweet boy is named Jackson. He is an American Bulldog and Lab mix. He is very friendly and knows basic commands such as sit and stay. Jackson would love to find a forever home soon. Stop by the shelter, you may meet your next best friend.
I’m a young Jack Russell mix who is bouncy and playful. I like other dogs and I need an adult home with a fenced yard where I can burn off some of my energy. I would be a great companion for an active family.

Chowder is a lab mix and very friendly. Chowder is so beautiful and deserves a wonderful home. Please consider giving Chowder a family to love. Loves walks and playing ball. Chowder is a great all around dog.
Buzzy is the perfect size dog. He is a lab mix and is a medium energy dog, well balanced dog. Buzzy would really like a family to call his own. Buzzy came in to the shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. He would do best in a home as the only pet.
Mya was found as a stray in the summer of 2014, and brought to Dogs & Cats Forever No-Kill Shelter in Fort Pierce, FL. She had mange and was put on several medications by a veterinarian, but sadly, she had an allergic reaction to her medications,and developed an autoimmune response to her meds. She has been to specialists in Stuart, West Palm Beach, and Gainesville, at the University of Florida. She is slowly getting better but has run up more than $5,000.00 in vet bills and medication costs. Her vets say that it could take more than a year for her to recover fully. Mya is only a year old and has a wonderful personality despite being in and out of clinics and given medicine almost nonstop.
Mya needs veterinary care for many months to come, and while Dogs & Cats Forever is currently responsible for her care, we are a private animal shelter which receives no financial assistance from local government, and we need help to pay her bills. Please help Mya get better so she can one day find a forever home.

She doesn’t not tolerate cats or other dogs so you would need a pet free home without children in order to adopt Sadie. HoneyBoy is an eleven year old male Rat Terrier and Chihuahua mix. He is very particular about who he attaches to and can be moody at times. If you are looking for a new forever friend and HoneyBoy accepts you, you’re going to be in for years of affections and companionship. Stop by the shelter and see if you’re a match for HoneyBoy.
Izzy is a six year old Himalayan mixed girl who would be happiest in a home with no other pets. She is quiet and shy at first but is very receptive to one-on -one affection. She prefers a calm adult home and has excellent house manners. She is far too shy for the shelter because she doesn’t want to be with lots of other cats. She needs to find a home asap.

Bella, a sweet, young pit mix found her way to the shelter as a stray. Very small, only about 50 lbs. Bella is very active and requires a fenced yard. She would be good with kids but does have a prey drive so needs someone who is attentive. Quiet and gentle in nature. No cats, fence required.
Addie was dumped at the shelter when she was only a few days away from delivering a litter of four babies. She is a sweet,petite girl who is ready for a home of her own where she can be pampered and loved.
