Bella

Beautiful Bella is looking for a foster or better yet a forever home! Bella has been a student in the Pawsitive Direction Program – LARC 501c3 in Loxahatchee to work on training for the past few months. She will graduate soon fully obedience trained, AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) ready, and/or Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Canine Life and Social Skills (CLASS) ready.

Look, I dressed up just for you! Bella is a 5 year old pit bull mix, with a beautiful tri-color coat and expressive eyes. Her new family should be ready for a house/kennel trained, wiggly medium-energy pup who promises endless love and devotion to her people. Since she does have a prey drive, she needs a home as the only pup with no small furry or feathered animals. She’s smart, focused and would be excellent at a sport or spending time on a lure course. Bella would do well with kids; she lived with a special needs little boy at one point and did amazing!

To fill out a foster or adoption application, contact Nicole (561) 723-8197 or send a message to one of the following facebook pages: Loxahatchee Animal Rescue Community, Inc. or Pawsitive Direction Program – LARC 501c3.

Thomas

Thomas is a former stray who probably contracted FIV on the streets. He is doing well and hopes to have a real home someday

Oh, how I love laps! Is yours comfy? Can I try?
I’m a two-year-old FIV+ boy who is just becoming used to shelter life. I’m getting along with all my feline roommates and I am learning to live indoors. Maybe soon I will have a real home, too!

Meeka

My name is Meeka. I’m a beautiful 3 year old Australian Cattle Dog who lost my home when my owner had a baby. I am fairly calm and gentle indoors, but as soon as I get outside, I am ready for action! I love to chase just about anything that you can throw (sticks, tennis balls, ropes). Since I will require a lot of safe off-leash play, I’m looking for a home with a fenced-in yard. I hope that the right person will read this and want to make me their new baby!

Rocky

Attention everybody – Rocky is in the house (and hopefully one day, he will be in yours)! At just four years old – this Boxer mix has the smarts and the endearing personality that anyone would adore. Whether he’s playing with you and your active family in a fenced-in yard of his own, or curled up on the couch during your favorite tv show, Rocky is living proof that life is just better with four paws and a wagging tail around.
Rocky has spent half of his life with us, and while we love having a guy like him around, no dog should have to spend years without a family! Take a bit of time to get to know him, and you’ll be asking how he could be passed up for so long! Rocky needs to be the only pet in his home, so finding a family with an empty nest can be difficult. Please share Rocky and help us find the family he’s been waiting for!

Popcorn

TDP_6043IMG_20170410_163917348Did someone say movie? Then you absolutely need me along for the ride! Popcorn is a nearly 2-year-old female who needs some TLC. She was found living outside a fast-food restaurant, and although she is shy, she is very receptive to petting and love! Popcorn needs a quiet home with someone who can spend time with her and earn her trust.

Great news! My Guardian Angel has paid my adoption fee.

Rex

Rex

Hey, I’m Rex, a 4 year old german shepherd. I can be a little people selective. But those who have gotten to know me call me a sweet guy. I have some medical issues that make it hard for me to be adopted, the staff can tell you more about that. I need an experienced handler in an adult home as the only pet. I promise to be loyal to my owner.

LUKE

male – border collie mix – born: approx sep 2015 – at shelter since: dec 2015

Luke is one of the most loyal dogs at the shelter. He walks great on a leash, is housebroken and on hot days he loves to swim. He enjoys quiet time and getting a nice neck and back scratch. When Luke loves a person, he becomes a great protector, so because of that he is harder to show to new people. A little bit of patience and a couple of meet-and-greets is important. When you are looking for a loyal companion, look no further….Luke is right here for you!

Yin

8 1/2  year old – Lab/American Pit mix -Female

Yin, has called the shelter her home for many years, but she is hopeful that someday her special person will find her.  Will you be her very own ‘yang’?
Yin is very playful and desires a fenced-in yard.  She prefers men over women and would do best in an adult only home with no pets. This beautiful girl is looking for her forever home!

Furball

Furball is a three year old tabby boy who came to the shelter after his owner passed away. He was originally owned by a man and he loves men! Furball needs a quiet adult home with lots of TLC. He does require special food which the shelter would be able to provide.

GREAT NEWS!! FURBALL’S ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN PAID BY A GUARDIAN ANGEL!

Love is in the eye of the beholder and I see you are purrfect for me!
